My boss recommended it to me and he is absolutely right. Food was 10/10, just great, meat was perfect, delicious spaetzle and the croquettes were particularly good. It's not cheap but it's worth it.

I came here around 8 and I was denied service. Not really sure if it was because I was an American, or what but it was really weird and rude. Would not recommend. There is kinder restaurant down the road that accepts all types of people.

Lots of empty tables came at about 8pm just 3 people and they said they couldn't serve us. Felt very strange no option to wait and no explanation for why they wouldn't serve us.

Wonderful food and warm service, family-operated. Spargel mit Lachs is superbly prepared with a tender touch by Gerd Merkel, proprietor and chef. I’ve dined there on every trip I’ve made to Hechingen.

Place was really nice inside, decorated with cats all over. The people were nice and helpful. The menus were only in German and since they used a script font, google translate couldn't figure it out. Luckily our server took the time to help us figure out all the options and decide on what to order. She was very helpful and we appreciated her patience.
